Since the beginning of OLT, powerful and iconic women and early feminists have been an inspiration. From the first Pin Ups to major artists and intellectuals, the OLT collections have cherished the aesthetics and messages of influential women.
Once upon a time, stashing issues of Playboy under beds and inside locked drawers was de rigueur. Playboy has always been about women’s liberation and female empowerment in its own way, from being at the forefront of the civil rights movement throughout history to standing up for progressive thinking. These days, a Playboy on the coffee table is a sign of discerning taste (in journalism) - and certainly nothing to hide.
